Youth Jiu Jitsu Classes
At Freedom Jiu Jitsu, our youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes are designed for kids ages 4–12, helping them build confidence, discipline, and focus in a fun, structured environment.
Our program is split into two age groups to match your child’s development:
Ages 4–7 - Focus on coordination, listening skills, and basic movements through fun, engaging classes that build confidence and structure.
Ages 8–12 - Introduce more detailed Jiu Jitsu techniques, positional understanding, and controlled training rounds to help kids develop real skill and discipline on the mats.
All classes are led by experienced coaches in a supportive environment where kids stay active, make friends, and continue to grow.

Do I need any prior experience?
No prior experience is required. Our classes are suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Our instructors provide personalized guidance to help you progress at your own pace.
Do you offer beginner classes?
All of our classes are beginner friendly! However, we do offer fundamental classes for those looking to ease into the sport of jiu jitsu. We offer them every Monday and Wednesday night at 7:45pm.
What should I wear to my first class?
For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. Please make sure your toenails and finger nails are clipped.
What should I expect for my first class?
Your first class is designed to be welcoming, beginner-friendly, and stress-free. When you arrive, one of our coaches will greet you, answer any questions, and guide you through everything step by step.
You’ll start with a light warm-up, followed by basic techniques, and finish with a structured class that matches your experience level. No prior experience is needed—we’ll make sure you feel comfortable the entire time.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete a quick waiver and get settled before class begins.
